One of the finished tunes on this upcoming After Life EP is called "She Likes The World Upside Down".
Please note that this song was not directed towards anyone and no one in particular was in mind when writing it. Ask Joey Jeff :) haha.
With that said, I wanted to give you guys a quick description of the meaning/message of the song. I wrote it in the perspective of observing a beautiful girl with big city dreams. Beautiful on the outside, but ugly on the inside. Maybe she was ugly because she fell into bad temptation, maybe because it was her willingness to do any and everything to travel the short road (not pay her dues), or maybe just naivety to think she was "the next big thing" and that success, acclaim and love would all fall innocently in her lap. ETC ETC. you guys get the picture :)
Open for your own interpretation.
Basically, the ugliness and lack of self image she had, mixed with the "willingness" to do ANYTHING to make it BIG blended perfectly with how a Big City chews those types up and spits them out. Thousands of wannabe "models/actress" embark on this journey and, unfortunately, most lose their souls and identity in the process.
This is her story from someone on the outside looking in.
Lyrics:
Verse 1:
She has a hole in her belly, and a gun in her hand.
Her plans change like her taste for a woman or a man.
And she loves it that way.
but deep down she's just tryna be saved.
She gives her love away, as a way to wake up her senses.
And tells her story with every touch like a sentence.
All her beauty in a blink of an eye. and I....................
(short refrain)
Verse 2:
City Lights she fights to get attention.
Dressed next to nothing did i mention.
She used to be pretty, but now scarred.
Her big city dreams have left her in the dark.
Small girl, big time dreams.
Learned everything ain't always what it seems.
But she'll be back, as a matter of fact............Chin up girl.
Chorus:
She Likes The World Upside Down (repeat 4x)
And Don't Give A Damn. She Don't Give A Damn.
Verse 3:
Her tattoos became resolutions.
Constant reminders that the truth is out there.
But she looks in all the wrong places, the strangest faces is all she see's.
She's wasted, in a city that chewed her up and spit her out.
Now a Dime a Dozen
She used to be someone.
But now she's nothing.......nothing
Chorus:
She Likes The World Upside Down (repeat 4x)
And Don't Give A Damn. She Don't Give A Damn.
Break Down Instrumental & Build Up:
Chorus:
She Likes The World Upside Down (repeat 4x)
And Don't Give A Damn. She Don't Give A Damn
Thanks for reading, listening and hopefully downloading!
Hope it inspires you, or offers some enjoyment.
More to come!

HAHAHAHAHA.
Joey Jeff snuck a photo of me in deep concentration programming drums for one of the tracks on the upcoming After Life EP.
And NO, its not a snuggie! lol. its a blanket and it was cold as hell in there!
Enjoy
So I recently got my electric guitar back from North Carolina and lets just say its been attached to my hip ever since. LOL
But really, I've been turning out some heavy stuff in the studio.
Let me repeat: HEAVY
With this new found electric guitar-driven inspiration, I've planned another album to be released in a few months.
Tentative title is called "After Life" and its going to be solely in the genre Alternative Rock.
In my opinion, the stuff i've laid down in the studio so far is my best work yet. No lie. It's really not going to sound like anything i've put out previously.
Stay tuned.
I'll be posting some new videos, promos, and audio sneak peaks of some of the album cuts in the near future.
Peace, Love and most of all -----------> Thank you.
Jonne
Happiness becomes contagious when shared and I always love hearing from friends that they are pursuing their dreams or passions.
With that being said, I am happy to share with you that my good friend has recently authored his
first novel and it's been published!
Here's a bit about the book and some info where you can get it and learn more about it.
'Degree In Irony' a novel inspired from real life events and is attributed to the real life
pressures we face as young adults. It's a 21st century twist to the classic “coming of age” genre.
Degree In Irony is the reflection of a young man’s journey from Teenage Youth
to Adult. Real Life events such as Columbine and 9-11 play significant roles in the development of Keith Sullivan as they have a direct impact in his life.
It's a fast paced, intriguing read and offers an insightful look
into the eyes of our youth.
Here's a link where you can get it at Barnes & Nobles here
You can also check out the books Fan Page on Facebook here
Cheers,
Jonne
Sooooooooooooooooooo,
Finally got around to posting a new blog to the Space Cadet Manuscripts.
Lots to tell you guys about.
First and foremost, the tour!!!
It was both an amazing and eye opening experience. We traveled to a good amount of states and played some awesome venues. I want to give a shout out to Sherdstown VA, Philly and Baltimore. Those places gave me the most love. Thanks guys! Touring life was a little rough if you are the type of person who likes to shower on the daily and sleep in comfortable places for a sufficient amount of time LOL. But it was all worth it to see the beautiful hills and mountains of WV, the city life of Philly and BK etc.
Openings for nationally touring bands was also a huge plus. I learned alot from these guys, whether directly from their mouth or from observing how things are run. A musicians life at this level is a difficult one and although it is a dream of mine, I found myself questioning if I really wanted to do this. In the end, I am happy with the route I have chosen and the way things are going.
Second, I want to give a huge thank you to Adam and Scott of TUN Records for setting this up for me. You guys have helped me out tremendously and I am greatly appreciative for it.
Last but not least, my mixtape has been released and it already the number of downloads has far past my expectations.
You can either get it on this website directly or by clicking this link:
http://www.mediafire.com/?z3gyykzwumm
Its Eons and Eons beyond these Pions lol. Really though, its my best work and I think everyone at least will find a song they really really dig.
Its free and its full of eargasms, as well as my heart and soul.
Anyways, I will be updating more and more in the near future. Thanks again for all your support guys. It takes one second to pass my website link onto another fellow music friend of yours. And from there, the grassroots really starts. Love you guys and I really really appreciate the support. Spread the weirdness!

Highway Kind
by Townes Van Zandt
My days, they are the highway kind
they only come to leave
but the leavin' I don't mind
it's the comin' that I crave.
Pour the sun upon the ground
stand to throw a shadow
watch it grow into a night
and fill the spinnin' sky.
Time among the pine trees
it felt like breath of air
usually I just walk these streets
and tell myself to care.
Sometimes I believe me
and sometimes I don't hear.
Sometimes the shape I'm in
won't let me go.
Well, I don't know too much for true
but my heart knows how to pound
my legs know how to love someone
my voice knows how to sound.
Shame that it's not enough
shame that it is a shame.
Follow the circle down
where would you be?
You're the only one I want now
I never heard your name.
Let's hope we meet some day
if we don't it's all the same.
I'll meet the ones between us,
and be thinkin' 'bout you
and all the places I have seen
and why you where not there.
Ladies and Gents,
All day today I've been in a contemplative mood. Just one of those days where you look both inside and outside yourself. It's humbling experience, but unlike others, I actually enjoy these days because it keeps me grounded and focused. It also helps me to appreciate the people and loved ones who support me and genuinely accept me for me.
Over the years, the people close to me have told me "I've steadily gotten progressively weirder, but at the same time nicer" ----- LOL
At first I wasn't sure how to take those comments, but now I've grown to appreciate them.
See, their reactions/comments represent their acknowledgement of me continually driving towards being a unique individual. To one day know my complete self and be truly comfortable in my own skin. And for the people who have still stuck with me or the new people in my life who grown with me; I appreciate you and I thank you.
It's funny because as I'm writing this, I've received a few texts and a call from 5 different people who I consider prime examples of what I just described.
Anyways, the purpose of this blog is to express to you guys that putting 100% of your time and energy into chasing a dream is crazy. I didn't choose to drop everything and pursue music, because trust me, there's a lot more downs than ups but those ups are AMAZING.
I'm sacrificing security as far as a 9-5 income (among other things) BUT I don't think I could live with myself as an old man if I didn't go all out right now. Its those "voids" that I focus on filling with my music so as to not let the pain get to me.
So for now, I am going to bask in the present. As all of you should.
Cheers,
Jonne
sup guys,
So its March, and in only a few weeks I'll be traveling and playing some shows. We've had some street teams handing out fliers around the 7 states spreading the weirdness so every show should be packed! Especially the shows I'm opening for Jimmies Chicken Shack, Flaw, MIssiles and Markers etc. Again, please take 2 seconds to check out the tour sponsored website. Its got links for tickets, the Ustream link, as well as the schedule.
To my philly folks - The Philadelphia Tattoo Art Convention is in town the same time as my Khyber show (Sunday the 28th) Depending on when I cross over to philly, I should be making an appearance at the convention to check out some body art. Hit me up for details and we'll meet up there before the show.
I've been strengthening my fingers and getting those callous' back on my finger tips so I'll be in top notch playing form.
On another note, my current listening is the new Johnny Cash album - Ain't No Grave.
See ya'll soon!
Jonne
So last week we witnessed one of the biggest snow storms I've ever been apart of here in Jersey. I was lucky enough to ride over to my favorite persons place before the heavy snow started so I was able to be snowed in for a few days with her.
If you are wondering, the answer is YES!, Herradura Tequila was involved hahha. It was the cause of our creation of the biggest fuggin snowball ever at 4 in the morning.
If you guys have any cool snowman pics or scenery pics of the blizzard, post em up here and share!
Be sure to check out my album on iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody and of course here. Love ur continued support!
Cheers,
Jonne
Recently I went to the Brooklyn Art Museum for a Rock N Roll photography exhibit. Here are some of the pictures courtesy of my very special company.
Also, they check your bags at the entrance so we couldn't bring in a flask full of tequila like my central park venture. Instead, we put the tequila in a water bottle. Good times!
MORE IMPORTANTLY - hehe
MY TOUR!!!!!!
If you haven't checked out the tour website http://www.interdependentmusic.com/home.cfm I suggest you do. I can't wait to live out of an RV for a week, travel to 7 states and spread the music.
Also, if you can't make it to a show, you can always log on Ustream and see it live and chat with me before and afterwards. I guarantee i'll have interesting stories on a nightly basis for your amusement LOL. thats a GUARANTEE. The link to log on Ustream is http://www.ustream.tv/channel/the-interdependent-music-sessions
So happy you guys are with me on this adventure. Love you all. Big thanks to TUN Records for making this happen.
